FC6 will reach end of life on December 7th.  No more updates will be
built for FC6 as of that date. No more new packages will be added to
the FC6 repository as of the release of F8 which is slated for later
this week.

I'd have to see the details of your yum session to understand the
problem you are having with yum currently.
