[Uaflug] Fedora Core 6

Thanks all for your very helpful replies!  

The problem with yum is resolved - while following Doug Knight's advice, I
tried to reconstruct what went wrong but can only say that it works now.  I
take it that this only puts the problem off for another month or so - if I
discover that I'm missing another rpm that I need, I won't be able to
download it?  

At that point I'll look into Centos - I rarely change my RHES version on
the other server anyway (version 4 should be good enough for a while).
