Check out Recent Changes. I for one hate MoinMoin. Also, I don't know if there are any vandal protection tools for it. This is the second time in about a month I've noticed (and reverted) such things. A lot of the more active members hang out on irc.freenode.net/#modzer0 ( http://modzer0.cs.uaf.edu/cgiirc webclient link). Feel free to hop on by. We try to have a meeting every semester or so. Sometimes it doesn't happen. It would be nice to have a new speaker though :-) Walker Wheeler teaches a CIOS Linux class just about every semester. I took it and though I'd been using Linux for a while, I still got quite a bit out of it. None of the CS professors (save Lawlor) seem to care about Linux all that much. -Paul On 9/26/07, Jonathan Smith wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > I see a meeting from 2006 and a smattering of traffic on the list, seemingly a > few guys ripping on SCO (don't get me wrong, thats a very worthy pursuit...), > but nothing terribly recent. It can easily be configured to require an account to edit pages. smithj -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFG/MiX0e1Yawpq2XMRAufeAKCyqrGhWyWcGh8z6RkzewRIIuNy/gCcDjeT rfUWx3RZtM0KzR8q/Hb8qaA= =lCLR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From szoth at ubertechnique.com Fri Sep 28 09:19:31 2007 From: szoth at ubertechnique.com (Seth de l'Isle) Date: Fri Sep 28 09:20:26 2007 Subject: [Uaflug] The Wiki In-Reply-To: <46FCC897.4010902@freethemallocs.com> References: <6f5baa7a0709280217h159a250ch54f883c94f37e745@mail.gmail.com> <46FCC897.4010902@freethemallocs.com> Message-ID: <20070928171931.GA24544@tharsis.ubertechnique.com> On Fri, Sep 28, 2007 at 01:25:43AM -0800, Jonathan Smith wrote: > I'm not sure what infrastructure you guys are using, but mediawiki is a much > much better wiki system (despite being written in php...). It isn't really a wiki anymore if you start putting up barriers to entry.
