Install Fest recap...

Thanks to Robb Cermak, we had our first install fest of the year last night in
the Wood Center.

There were about ten or so people who showed up. We had fun talking about
Linux and arguing (civilly) about various distributions. Tried to debug a
kernel panic on a RH9 install on a P200. Installed Mandrake 9.1 on a couple
laptops (how are those installs working?). And never got network access to
the outside world: the ports in the conference rooms don't seem to be fully
functional.

So, all in all, it was a great event. We know a few more things now,
logistics-wise, and we know the next event will be even better.

Kudos to Matt Macander and ABR Inc. (I think I got my credits right, please
correct if not), the LUG now has some nice older P133 and P200 machines for
use in our thin-client project next semester.

For all those who attended: thanks! And to Robb Cermak, who organized the
whole thing: BIG THANKS! As club president, I love seeing stuff like this
happen, but I know I can't do it all. It's great to have those who will step
up to the plate like this!

Hope to see you at the next one!
