Truly sad to see the the KSUA Media Board has taken this stance.
While I can understand the issue of programming cohesivness, I am not
understanding how they can say that this will burden the station with
unwanted competition?

Perhaps if I knew how KSUA (via RF) competes in the lower 48 and the
rest of the world? I know for a fact that their RF signal is no where
near the quality of the streams available over the internet for
certain areas near the University.

What if the music archives that are (were) being made available via
the Mserv were delivered as a service of the ASUAF? We could start
something here folks. Given the appropriate permissions from the
copyright holders, this 'KSUA archive' music could be made available
via an Internet-only delivery system.

Don't despair, Seth - Justin's work (and the LUG) is still worth
bragging about. :-)

Perhaps the folks at icecast and mserv have encountered opposition to
this issue in the past and would have ideas on how to develop a
resolution?
