WelcomeYou've made your way to the home page of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Linux Users Group. The UAFLUG is an official ASUAF(student government) club. There are benefits and drawbacks to our affiliation with ASUAF. But don't worry, all our services are available to the public at large, and except in formal settings non-students will be referred to as members. Take a look at our constitution. The plan is to get enough community interest together to form an official city/borough-wide group that would take over most of the Linux activities in Fairbanks. If you aren't familiar with Linux or the concept of a Linux User's group
check out the links
page. http://www.linux.com is a good
place to start. If you're looking for help using or installing Linux, join
the UAFLUG list-serve
, or the (more-or-less) Anchorage based list-serve run by AKLUG.
The AKLUG list is ideal for answering tough questions, while the UAFLUG
list keeps you in touch with the Fairbanks Linux community.
