hi, i followed your setup instructions for mpg123 for my linux netscape 
browser and neither the

and it played ok; the command line:
mpg123 http://linux0.cs.uaf.edu/radio/playlists/kuac24mono.pls
does not work for your URL or any other URL with .pls; got any hints or tips?
i found a web page that said to try: mpg123 http://ipaddress:port/filename.pls
but no permutation of your .pls url with port 8000, 80, or 7000 worked; thanks 
for the
informative web site; it got me started toward a fully functional mpg123; and 
i enjoy listening
to the NPR streams, thanks again, res
