University of Alaska's USENET feed - comp.os.linux.misc?

Is it just me or is our newsfeed seriously poor?  It starts to say upwards of 
14,006 headers for comp.os.linux.misc, then when it actually downloads the 
headers all I get is 73.  Is something wrong with my newsreader?

Anyone have similar problems with news.alaska.edu?
