Project suggestion: (call me silly, but I've always been interested in 
learning Oracle)

Make use of an Oracle 8 or 8i database for something on Linux to do something 
and store some data. (ideas?)

Goals of project:  to get students and faculty alike (those that don't yet 
know Oracle) familiar with Oracle and a decent understanding of databases in 
general.  Will design a fully usable database for some function on campus.

Anyways, more suggestions are welcome...
