Introductions...

Hello everyone -

I'll try to be brief. My name is Kyle Curtis. I am a computer specialist
with the US Army Corp of Engineers. I am an NT administrator who is very
interested in developing some LINUX skills. While I was at the Technology
Fair I stopped by your booth and got the URL for this list-server. I've
only been working in the computer field for about four years and feel rather
"in over my head" when it comes to real OS's like UNIX/LINUX. It seems like
you have to have so much "collateral knowledge" to run and use the stuff,
mine is limited. I hope that this group is interested in helping me answer
the difficult questions that I may have while going through the LINUX
learning curve. Please feel free to introduce yourselves to me. I am
available to help whomsoever has any question. While this may not apply
here, I am MS certified in NT 4.0 and may be of some use to some of you.

If you choose to respond after Nov. 1, I will be unavailable until Nov.
15th. I'm going to Anchorage for two weeks of training. =-)

A bus station is where a bus stops,
A train station is where a train stops,
On my desk I have a work station,
Think about that...

PS: Any suggestions on where I should begin?...
I have a copy of Red Hat Linux 5.2 (Apollo), and a copy of LINUX that is
available at SAMS right now. I don't recall who packaged it but it's not a
RED HAT product.
